Solstice Meditation

  • Goodell Gardens & Homestead 221 Waterford Street Edinboro, PA 16412 US (map)

Celebrate the peak of summer by experiencing Goodell Gardens awash in the energy of the recent solstice! Richard Gosnell, Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide and astronomy lecturer, will discuss the significance of the summer solstice in our lives. We will then experience the healing power of the gardens as we reconnect with the more than human world by practicing some basic tools of mindfulness and meditation.  When performed repeatedly, these practices help you to quiet your mind by encouraging a deeper connection with the outdoors and enhance greater sensitivity to the patterns of nature.  Meet at the events barn and we will proceed to the garden. If it is raining, we will stay in the event barn. Bring something waterproof to sit on. Cost is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
